| I had bought this product a year ago with great results. Tried it again in the late summer ( after the heat ) and it didnt grow one single blade of grass. I am very religious about making sure it is watered too, but nothing this time. Last time I bought it, it was delivered in a plastic container and this time in a plastic bag. With other companies now producing this kind of product, perhaps they have reduced its quality? |
Not worth the money!

| I bought 4 bags of this stuff and I still did not have enough to cover the areas needed. It grew some grass but still waiting on other patches. The grass that did grow is very fine and short. |

I bought these seeds and watered them faithfully. Nothing came up. I ended up paying about $100 including shipping.
I would warn buyers to avoid this product. It is a total rip-off. |

| I purchased three bags of Patch-Perfect seed to apply to two bare spots in my yard - one in the sun, the other in the shade. After three weeks of normal watering, there has been approximately 10% seed growth in the shady area, and 0% growth in the sunny area. I am very displeased with this costly, ineffective product and will never make a subsequent purchase. |

To all who are hesitating to purchase this grass let me say: YOU CANT GET ANYTHING BETTER! Here is why:
I took the seeds with me to Iraq for my never quite satisfied in-laws and planted them according to the instructions. The grass sprang up like magic in areas where the local tough grass refused to grow for years!
The dead patches burned by their desert sun, and the bold down hill area where all the water collects in prepettual pools sprang baby grass within 2 weeks, 3 weeks and the baby grass began to sprout multiple leafs, 5 weeks after planting I actually considered trimming it.
So sun or shade this stuff will grow!
Now to the complains in the negative reviews:
1. The grass seeds MUST be planted in THIN layer (dust the ground with them). If seeds are thickly overlaid they do not grow well. (note that the bottom of the bag opens and has a special dispenser to make your job easier).
2. Follow the simple instructions, (from experience) where the ground wasnt well plowed the seeds didnt do so well. (5-6 inches is recommended), (water as usual).
3. If you want a beautiful lawn QUICKLY, this stuff works but you pay for having it fast (and with little work) a little extra. You need to consider how much you need to cover, how quickly and your budget.
4. If you dispense the seeds as recommended (dusting the soil) you will end up with the sq/ft promised by manufacturer. But I recommend to have a little extra to cover any bold patches that didnt get enough seeds and may look bold.
NOTES:
As a seasoned gardner I advice after planting to lightly mix the seeds with the soil, or sprinkle soil on the seeds, which ewer is easier for you. (it encourages early root growth and keeps ants away from your seeds)
The instructions recommend to plant in the morning or evening, during growing season (spring and fall) look up the instructions for the exact months.
Water the seeds well after planting, but do not drown them or wash them away.
and one final thing, if you live in a dry hot area, DONT TRIM YOUR GRASS TOO SHORT, THE SUN WILL DRY UP THE ROOTS, and your grass will struggle to survive.
UPDATE:
I planted the grass in february (which is equivalent to may in US), when I left the grass was doing well but havent covered the ground fully. (June 28) I just got pictures of my mother in law hand trimming a thick green carpet. I couldnt belive my eyes! And yes for once my in-laws were truly impressed with American product! And so was I! |

| THANK YOU THANK YOU! I thought this was the cure. My neighbor purchased two summers ago and it worked like magic on his back yard. So I was just getting ready to purchase it now for my backyard for a "fix" but after reading all of your reviews- I am FOR SURE going to get sod instead.
