I over-sowed my front yard which had Penn-Blue variety of Bluegrass. The sod company that I origionally bought my sod/seed from wanted $35 plus delivery for a 3 lb bag of seed. They told me that their variety was unique and other seeds wouldn't match.
I decided to take a chance because it was getting so expensive to do this every year.
I had a very high germination rate and the yard has very dense growth 2 weeks later. The grass matches perfectly.
These seeds are coated with a substance that holds moisture to promote growth. It appears to work very well. |
